This special 'service' for young children and their parents (and others) was started in May 2004. With the promise of minimal restrictions on children (and their parents!) the first proved very successful, and those following, (photos below) were equally, if not more, successful.

Noisy Service 3 047 2.jpg (101115 bytes)This is a splendid gathering of people. And who are those musicians over on the right? And why the balloons? This looks fun.

Noisy Service 3 047 1.jpg (81215 bytes)It's Carole and her two daughters, Sarah and Philippa. And is that a trombone on the altar in the background? It all sounds very interesting!

Noisy Service 3 047 3.jpg (98946 bytes)Now it's becoming clear. This is another in the Noisy Family Worship series. And it's a family Baptism (Christening). And on the back benches that looks as good as it obviously tastes!

Noisy Service 3 047 4.jpg (63324 bytes)This is Fraser Samuel being christened.

Noisy Service 3 047 5.jpg (66862 bytes)And this is Eleanor Kate.

Noisy Service 3 047 11.jpg (73821 bytes)That's a big candle. We'll have to wait and see what that's for. The Rector will tell us soon.

Noisy Service 3 047 12.jpg (76842 bytes) Now we've all got a candle. Well, not all, only those who have been involved in the special Naming ceremony today.

Noisy Service 3 047 14.jpg (73264 bytes)There's something magical about candles. Look at the pleasure on the children's faces.

Noisy Service 3 047 6.jpg (79477 bytes)All dressed up in Sunday Best for a very special get-together. Is that the finish of that part? Yes we'll see what happens next.

Noisy Service 3 047 7.jpg (80780 bytes)Party dresses are especially welcome. That was very interesting, wasn't it? Yes, but when are we going to join in? Soon.

Noisy Service 3 047 8.jpg (95539 bytes) Is it all over now? Not yet, but say hello to everyone. Everyone looks very happy and interested in the proceedings.

Noisy Service 3 047 9.jpg (83327 bytes) Can I join in too? Admiring glances from grownups are very welcome, but what about those balloons?

Noisy Service 3 047 10.jpg (86448 bytes)When can I put my headdress back on? What's next?

Noisy Service 3 047 17.jpg (115752 bytes)Ah! It's balloon time. We wondered what they were for. There's also something very special about balloons. Can we all have one?

Noisy Service 3 047 18.jpg (120885 bytes)Yes, everyone can join in. Isn't it colourful? Isn't it exciting?

Noisy Service 3 047 16.jpg (111336 bytes)A successful launch! Even the grown-ups? Yes anyone can have a go.

Noisy Service 3 047 19.jpg (110431 bytes)Would you like a green one or a red one? Port or Starboard? Well, I think I'll have both!

Noisy Service 3 047 21.jpg (116584 bytes)Where have they gone?

Noisy Service 3 047 15.jpg (34696 bytes)Look, there they are, flying high. Will the labels bring them back to us? We'll see.

Noisy Service 3 047 20.jpg (119765 bytes)Up, up and away. There are enough balloons for all. Don't be shy! And so ends another very happy Noisy Family Worship at All Saints Church Collingham.
