Noisy Family Worship!

These special 'services' for young children and their parents (others welcome) were started in May 2004. With the promise of minimal restrictions on children (and their parents!) the first one proved very successful. Then the second and subsequent (including the Christmas Noisy Crib Service) were equally, if not more, successful. Here are some photos of the 'events', can you spot yourself?

Noisy Service 046 1.jpg (69029 bytes)Carole opens the proceedings with some appropriate music at the piano. You'll all know this one!

Noisy Service 046 2.jpg (101910 bytes)Revd David welcomes the children and their parents to a noisy (carefully orchestrated) and eventful family worship in All Saints' Church, Collingham.

Noisy Service 046 16.jpg (83386 bytes)What's it all about?

Noisy 046 3 Young at Heart!.jpg (77881 bytes)Our photographer suggests we call this picture 'The Young at Heart'.  We can't think of a better title. Can you? They were certainly very interested in the happenings of the 'Youngest'.

Noisy Service 046 12.jpg (93177 bytes)'Marion, come and give me a hand with this'. Thank you.

Noisy Service 046 13.jpg (91368 bytes)An explanation is what is required. And here is just the Mum to help.

Noisy 046 4.jpg (102919 bytes)"Now this is how it all begins. Are you sitting comfortably?". David, Marion, Pat and parents get organised for the start of the 'Happening'. The activities are certainly getting under way.

Noisy Service 046 5.jpg (100047 bytes)Something interesting must be going on. Look at the concentration on those faces (and not only the children!) The story unfolds - what is it all about?

Noisy Service 046 6.jpg (107720 bytes)Even those still sitting on hard seats seem enrapt! But surely the floor isn't all that comfortable. So, something must be appealing.

Noisy Service 046 7.jpg (91709 bytes)The readers, Hazel and Nick get into their stride to continue the story. What is the story about?

Noisy Service 046 8.jpg (100311 bytes)Are we now labelled as animals? We are getting nearer the truth of the matter. Is it a Zoo? Or maybe it's an Ark. All will be revealed.

Noisy Service 046 14.jpg (82278 bytes)Maybe some music at this point. Let's all have a go!

Noisy Service 046 15.jpg (87737 bytes)And now a good sing-along, for mums and dads and friends of all ages.

Noisy Service 046 9.jpg (106196 bytes)"And so this is how it all finally came to a conclusion". David winds up the proceedings.

Noisy Service 046 10.jpg (77919 bytes)Finally Carole shows the children what the organ can do (in expert hands of course). 'Can I have a go please?'

Noisy Service 046 11.jpg (99963 bytes)It all finished happily ever after; and everyone departed very pleased with the adventure!
