These photos are part of a Noisy Family Worship Service. This one was a special for Easter 2006. It included a hand-bell-ringing session! And an Easter-egg Rolling Competition?

And wasn't Radio Nottingham's Sarah Julian around to report on events in the parish that weekend? Did you meet her, or hear the programme on the radio?

David opens the proceedings and explains the Daffodil Cross. This was completed by children and parents (and some grandparents) as the service progressed.

Noisy Eggs 21 2006.jpg (61325 bytes)

Let's see if we can get this cross of daffodils together. One big heave should do it!

Form an orderly queue please.

Noisy Eggs 19 2006.jpg (42974 bytes)

A lot of people want to join in on this arrangement. It's great fun isn't it?

Noisy Eggs 2 2006.jpg (75353 bytes)

Now for some more activities. And, mums and dads are very welcome to take part . . .

Noisy Eggs 3 2006.jpg (80045 bytes)

Here are some puzzles to solve. Where do all these go . . .?

Noisy Eggs 4 2006.jpg (82758 bytes)

What, all these eggs? Every one?

Noisy Eggs 5 2006.jpg (66818 bytes)

Noisy Eggs 6 2006.jpg (70310 bytes)

This is beginning to take shape. What garden is it I wonder?

Noisy Eggs 7 2006.jpg (72294 bytes)

Now, what's all this about? Sounds noisy . . .! Yes, is this the hand bell corner?

Noisy Eggs 8 2006.jpg (79945 bytes)

Definitely the hand bell corner! This looks very promising. Can we all have a go?

Noisy Eggs 9 2006.jpg (77630 bytes)

Yes anyone can join in. It's a bit tricky but definitely a lot of fun.

Noisy Eggs 10 2006.jpg (78081 bytes)

Now for some music. Philippa helps on the keyboard to make it a good tune.

Noisy Eggs 11 2006.jpg (62401 bytes)

This seems to be a busy scene, with everyone joining in . . .

Noisy Eggs 12 2006.jpg (54961 bytes)

What's happening in this corner? It looks like a thinking zone!!

Noisy Eggs 13 2006.jpg (77152 bytes)

Where do these fit in? OK, let's get in close on this one.

A little refreshment now before the big competition on the Lychgate path outside the church?

Noisy Eggs 14a 2006.jpg (55963 bytes)

We did say age doesn't matter, so everyone is welcome to have a go; and share the refreshments . . .!

THE EGG ROLLING COMPETITION > > >

Noisy Eggs 22 2006.jpg (95584 bytes)

Here we are on the starting blocks. Ready, steady - GOOo . . .! It looks like 'Sunny Side Up' as our photographer said!

Noisy Eggs 23 2006.jpg (67899 bytes)

A 'child's eye view'. See those eggs roll. Which one is in front at the moment?

Noisy Eggs 24 2006.jpg (101796 bytes)

Now who's leading the race?

Noisy Eggs 27 2006.jpg (70985 bytes)

Speculation mounts! Is that one the winner? OR, has this one overtaken it?

Noisy Eggs 26 2006.jpg (73124 bytes)

The weather is beautiful; the atmosphere intense!

Noisy Eggs 25 2006.jpg (98283 bytes)

The finishing line at the Lychgate. The tension mounts! Rector David declares a winning roll, and prizes are awarded (to all competitors).

Finally David proudly displays the work of all the children in the completed Daffodil Cross. A final prayer for a super occasion, and everyone returns home happily . . .
