These
photos are part of a Noisy Family Worship Service. This one was a special for Easter 2006. It
included a hand-bell-ringing session! And an Easter-egg Rolling Competition?
And wasn't Radio Nottingham's Sarah Julian around to report on events in the
parish that weekend? Did you meet her, or hear the programme on the radio?

David opens the proceedings and explains the Daffodil Cross. This was
completed by
children and parents (and some grandparents) as the service progressed.

Let's see if we can get this cross of daffodils together. One big heave
should do it!

Form an orderly queue please.

A lot of people want to join in on this arrangement. It's great fun isn't it?

Now for some more activities. And, mums and dads are very welcome to take part . . .
Here are some puzzles to solve. Where do all these go . . .?

What, all these eggs? Every one?

Looks like it! Right let's get down to it then . . .!

This is beginning to take shape. What garden is it I wonder?

Now, what's all this about? Sounds noisy . . .! Yes, is this the hand bell corner?

Definitely the hand bell corner! This looks very promising. Can we all have a
go?

Yes anyone can join in. It's a bit tricky but definitely a lot of fun.

Now for some music. Philippa helps on the keyboard to make it a good tune.

This seems to be a busy scene, with everyone joining in . . .

What's happening in this corner? It looks like a thinking zone!!
Where do these fit in? OK, let's get in close on this one.

The picture is coming together.
Concentration Corner!

Let's get down to this . . .!

A little refreshment now before the big competition on the Lychgate path outside the church?

We did say age doesn't matter, so everyone is welcome to have a go; and share
the refreshments . . .!
THE EGG ROLLING COMPETITION > > >
Here we are on the starting blocks. Ready, steady - GOOo . . .! It looks like
'Sunny Side Up' as our photographer said!

A 'child's eye view'. See those eggs roll. Which one is in front at the moment?
Now who's leading the race?

Speculation mounts! Is that one the winner? OR, has this one overtaken it?

The weather is beautiful; the atmosphere intense!

The finishing line at the Lychgate. The tension mounts! Rector David
declares a winning roll, and prizes are awarded (to all competitors).

Finally David proudly displays the work of all the children in the completed
Daffodil Cross. A final prayer for a super occasion, and everyone returns
home happily . . .
