EAST TRENT CHURCHES

Following
the immense popularity of the monthly Noisy
Family Worship services in All Saints Church in Collingham, for
young people and their parents, it was decided to hold a Christmastide Noisy
Crib Service. This was a galloping success, with All Saints' filled to
overflowing in spite of imported extra seating. Can you spot yourself or any of
your friends in the photographs? Click gift-box to return to Christmas 2004 page . . .

Revd David and a team of volunteers light the Advent candles to start the proceedings . . .
A packed house (literally) settles down to join in a Crib Service specially designed with young people in mind . . .
The Musicians help with singing the first carol . . .
Followed by a reading to set the scene . . .
Throughout this part of the service, children (and their parents) help to 'dress' the crib with animals, shepherds , wise men, and of course Mary, Joseph and the Baby Jesus . . .
This was very popular and volunteers streamed forward to help . . .
And more volunteers . . .
And still more . . .
Finally Revd David invited all children who wanted to come forward and place a lighted candle on the crib. This was immensely popular . . .
