This special
'BBQ' for young
children, their parents and friends took place at the Collingham Rectory in June
2009 Revd David is an excellent host for these special occasions and really
supports a very good team who work hard to make the event a success (in spite of
the weather!).

It
was a wet, a very-very wet day. The rain poured down and kept pouring. Stay in
the car for a few minutes whilst it calms down . . .

Do you think it's fit to go ahead? Carole recommends something to warm us up
before the official launch - brrr! . . .
Hurrah!
We're underway. The chaps are getting things moving - blow the weather . . .!
That barbeque is looking (and smelling) very appetising!
Would
it help if I volunteered to assist in the preparations . . .?! Those sausages
could do with turning!

Whose legs are these? Come on now you guys, the rain has stopped for a while.
Leave the blocks game and let's get something hot to eat.

Ah! It's all beginning to make sense now. Just hope the weather improves . .
.

Looks like it's brightening up - the smiles are coming out . . .
So,
let's make a start. What have we got in here . . .?

Now, let's get organised. Oh! no, it isn't going to rain again, is it .
. .?

This requires patience - And those sausages smell delicious!

How much patience shall we need?

Oh! quite a lot of patience - Ooops! we've even got a raindrop on the camera
lens. But all will be well. And the sausages taste good don't they? . . .
Keep
looking in . . . More to come . . .
