The Collingham Harvest Supper has always been a popular village event, and 2004 was no exception. The food was beautifully prepared and presented, and was very well received by everyone. The evening finished with a story telling event organised by the rector. This was hilarious and enjoyed by all. Click photos below to enlarge, then . . . Click <-- back button (top left) to return to this page Photographs © by the Editorial Team Say hello! to the chef's team, hard at work in the kitchen. "We can't stop now!" Just a very brief (and somewhat reluctant) break for a photo-call. Then back to the serious business of preparing food for 100 guests!
Starting at Bishop Patrick's table, let's take a tour round and meet everyone.
Can you break off your sweet course for a moment for a photo?
Smile for the birdie. This won't take a moment. That looks an excellent wine. "Your very good health!".
A pleasant break in proceedings. Friends delight in meeting at these functions. And what a lovely Autumn table decoration.
Is that the brochure showing the details of the charity we are supporting?
Daddy's girls! They did enjoy themselves.
The chef's team enjoying a well-earned break. Rector David also takes a break with them. But then, he helped to serve it to the tables, so he deserves a break!
How nice to see everyone relaxed and enjoying themselves.
Cheers! Did you bring your own wine? Yes guests supplied (and shared) their own drinks. What a good idea.
What a happy group. "Is this the team that gave the demonstration of composing a 'Story'? And did they have prior knowledge of the question?" Well somebody had to do it, and they did exceptionally well.
David and Marion (our scribe) read the results of the story telling. A word from each of the guests built up a 100 word story. A guaranteed source of hilarity! We all hope we will have another go at this sometime!
A photo of the lovely table arrangement. One for each of the splendidly laid out tables. Well done Megan.
