Christmas Day at St John the Baptist in South Collingham was very special in that it re-opened the Church after several weeks' closure due to dangerous finials on the tower.

St John the Baptist's tower, seen through the beautiful tracery of the trees, shows a flag flying. And a peal of five bells is ringing. Could this mean that the Church is open again after its repairs?

The font is decorated with lovely figures donated by the Lauder family to commemorate Gordon, Church Warden, who died earlier in 2004

A little gathering of what was a very full congregation. That looks a lovely Christmas tree in the background.

After a lovely re-opening service on Christmas Day 2004, it's time to go and see to those Christmas dinners!

David and Marie with the gifts presented to them by Revd David. These were a small way of thanking them for all the hard work they had put in getting the Church re-launched after such major repairs.
