Enjoy the South Scarle Christmas Carol Service. This has two or three interesting traditions: An augmented choir directed by Bella Conn, drawn from all parts of the Benefice and including some Collingham Singers. A contribution from the children in the Village. And a visit from Father Christmas. It all finishes up with wine (soft drinks for the children and others) and mince pies. The choir and helpers were later invited to the Old Vicarage for a hot supper . . .

Extremely crowded. Extra chairs were brought in; there's hardly standing room.

Towards the end of the service Father Christmas arrives and is greeted enthusiastically . . .

First, there is a Birthday Boy to get special attention . . .

Then all the children in the congregation are invited to come and meet Santa . . .
