The Methodist team prepare for their contribution to The Bethlehem Story. Yes, a very professional start. Meanwhile the audience are enjoying singing another Christmas hymn. Ready for the final scene of our Christmas production? We are introduced by the narrator to the Inn and its Innkeeper in Bethlehem.
First Joseph and Mary arrive and are informed by the rather grumpy Innkeeper that he can only accommodate in the stable. They have little option but to accept.
The dirty smelly stable was suddenly transformed with the birth of a baby boy. And they called him Jesus. The Innkeeper wasn't best pleased!
Soon some shepherds appeared (one carrying a lamb) to greet the new baby. The Innkeeper wondered what on Earth was happening!
The Innkeeper had just about given up on the situation when three Kings arrived. This was the last straw as far as he was concerned!
When the shepherds bowed down to the baby, and the Kings presented him with special gifts, Mary and Joseph were amazed, but the Innkeeper thought the whole world had gone mad!
At this stage even the Innkeeper had to conclude that something special was happening. And that this new baby boy was more than just another child.
So, with the others, he also came to pay his respects to this remarkable infant born in his very humble stable.
If you recognise any of the Cast in the photos and they would like a mention, names to the Editorial Team would be appreciated.
