A Private Room

Sometimes, when we desire a private room we feel the need to have our private thoughts all to ourselves. This wonderful hymn with words from a Book of Hours 1514; {or the Sarum Primer, Horae B. V. M. (Sarum) }, and music by H Walford Davies (1869-1941), sums up these innermost feelings beautifully. We include it here to reflect on, and of course for your pleasure . . .

God be in my Head

God be at mine end,
And at my departing.
