On Sunday June 6 Bishop Paul
visited several of the East Trent group of churches & inaugurated David as 'Priest in Charge' of the eleven churches

This was a very special and important occasion. Lots of people made the effort to be there (on a showery day) to be a part of it – it may never happen again!

The plan was as follows

Bishop Paul’s visit to the East Trent Churches Sunday June 6
The programme for the day was displayed on Church Notice Boards and there were leaflets in church.
If you needed transport to any of the events on the day contacts were Anne Ackroyd – 01636 892547 or Gill Priestley 01636 892020
Maps were provided if you wished to locate all our churches.

We do hope you joined us during this special day. You were indeed welcome.

AND
At the Showground the retiring collection amounted to £160 and was shared between Beaumond House Hospice and Rainbows Hospice for children.

Thank you.

Looking back to the memorable Bishop’s Visit on June 6. We would like to have a photographic record of the day.  If you took any photos or you know someone else who did, we would be really pleased to have copies of them. They can be left at the Rectory with your name and please indicate if they are copies or originals from which we can take copies. Thank you.

NOTICES

Please note that from now until the clocks change again in the autumn
the Sunday evening services will begin at ‘summer time’ of 6.00pm

Just a gentle reminder that in each of our churches there is a small red book labelled Prayer Requests. This is for you to write in a name, place or situation that you would wish to have included in the prayers at the service on that day. The entries may be anonymous and we hope you will use this book so that your prayers can be offered.
We also have a Prayer Chain – this is a small group of members who have  promised to pray for others at their request. The contact for messages is Eirlys Cholerton tel 892958.
If you wish to join this praying group or find out more about it, please speak to the Rector or Marion Collins

If you know of anyone who is unwell and would appreciate a visit or unable to attend church and would like to receive Communion at home, please leave a message at the Rectory.
David Milner or one of our pastoral team will be very pleased to visit; but they need to receive the message!
Please contact the Rectory and arrangements can be made.
